Multi-Factor Authentication
Microsoft Authenticator TOTP SETUP
- Step 1
Go to your desktop and visit the portal. On the portal, you will be presented with the login screens as usual.
Enter your myVCCS username and click “Go”
Then, enter your password
You will be presented with the TOTP setup screen.
Step 2
Download the Microsoft Authenticator App
On the TOTP setup screen
Scan the QR code presented with your phone CAMERA APP. It will then direct you to the application download screen.
If you can't scan the QR code:
Open your smartphone’s app store (either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store).
Search for "Microsoft Authenticator".
Download the app for free.
After the application is downloaded, click the NEXT button on your screen.
Step 3
Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
Press the + sign in the top right-hand corner
Select Personal Account
Select “Scan QR Code”
NOTE: Your phone may ask for access to your camera. Please allow.
- Step 4
After selecting “Scan Barcode” your phone camera will show a box on the screen.
Center the camera “box” over the QR code and Microsoft Authenticator will automatically create a new item in your list of systems with the name “myVCCS-new”.
Click Next to continue.
Step 5: Final Step
Enter code displayed on your Microsoft Authenticator App
